That may be, Plays, but your cars were a lot cooler.. girls always get cooler cars because their daddies don't want them driving around in the beaters we drove. I would venture to say that 20 of my 27 are now cubes.

I can assure you Lauren will never have to drive a piece of sh!t like I did..

Identifying narcissists isn't difficult. Just look for the person who is constantly fishing for compliments
and admiration while breaking down over even the slightest bit of criticism.

Finally
Do we count just my cars, or the cars that I've shared with Mrs. George?

If just me, then:

1968 Mustang
1972 Opel Manta
1980 Honda Accord
1984 Mazda 626
1989 Honda Prelude (loved that car!)
1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee (what I drive now)

If we include the Mrs., add:

1977 Buick Skylark
1986 Dodge Caravan
1992 Chrysler Town and Country
1996 Dodge Grand Caravan
2003 Subaru Legacy Outback

If we include the kids' cars:

2000 Ford Escort
2001 Ford Focus

Not that many, actually. I bought it in '91 and traded it in on the Contour in '98. Two of those years I was in China and two on the road in the US (rental cars). The rest was just driving back and forth to work (about 5 miles). Still, when I traded it in the brakes were so bad I almost plowed into one of the used cars at the dealership.

Isn't that the truth! Vegas were a POS. Pop open the engine hood and you'd find a squirrel on a treadmill.

Had the Datsun ten years.

The Cobra is the best car I ever owned. It is just a whole lot of fun to drive and I plan to keep it a long time. The wife gets the next new car.

May it also be because girls are smarter (note I didn't say BETTER) drivers, and take better care of their cars?

If Lauren was a boy, would you get her a beater?

Oh, and my dad was all for getting me a beater. A high-end beater, but a beater nonetheless. My mom and I convinced him otherwise.
And how are you today?

HOLY CARP!!!
when I had my first car I had to park it going down hill so I could roll it and pop the clutch to start it. There was no hill to park on at my high school so every day, I had to get boys to come push my car while I popped the clutch.

heh...those were the days...
