Well,

This is the best recording so far.

There are some timing issues and a few other things to work out yet.

Critique from those who play it or know it is welcome.

Most of all I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Radu.

I look forward to your extended comments.

I do not have any reference recordings.

Wait, I did at one time have Laroccha's recording but I have not listened to it for many years.

I'll write more tomorrow. I just have to ....work...

May I suggest you a recording ...?

Send me an e-mail address at raduf@writeme.com and I'll rip for you one of the finest recordings of this sonata.

Ciao

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Well.... I recommend what I have : Aldo Ciccolini. I already sent it to Mark, do you want it too ?

I take it as yes....

I saw once a video of M. Uchida explaining and playing this sonata.

Radu,

thank you for your very insightful critique.

I took your advice and slowed it down. Played it through at the slower pace a few times and will continue to work on evenness, accents and timing. Listening to the recording you sent opened my eyes (and mind) to the things that my teacher has been stressing during lesson. Sometimes I need a reminder of these things and your suggestions and recording seemed to be the ticket.

Feel free to post your comments that you sent privately.

Haven't (can't) check my mail here at work (Eudora downloads it and deletes it from the server every 15 min at home). I 'll check when I get home (late) tonight.

Haven't (can't) check my mail here at work (Eudora downloads it and deletes it from the server every 15 min at home). I 'll check when I get home (late) tonight.

I have my main e-mail address raduf@writeme.com at mail.com (100M). E-mails are stored there and forwarded to (and stored on) radufp@gmail.com (2G storage). Outlook gets mail from my two ISP and from Gmail (POP option). So I can read mail at mail.com , at gmail and on my computer. When I compose a new mail message I can chose to have it sent via my ISP or Gmail (meaning that it will be saved on gmail). I have also the yahoo account (with his new beta look AND 20M attachments) with the POP option.

The problem is.... I work at home so I can always read the mail in my Outlook INBOX
