HOLY CARP!!!

How many abandoned email adresses are there? And how many abandoned websites? Over time, won't this become a problem for companies like Yahoo or Hotmail? Don't these inactive accounts consume resources? And does e-nformation ever die? Will my stoopid posts live on for all eternity? Will, or could, jgoo someday just right-click and delete all our wisdom and folly? P.S. I may have just made up a word, e-nformation. You heard it here first folks. |

HOLY CARP!!!

Available hard disk space grows faster than the amount of information we can produce; it doubles every 1.5 years. It is not unrealistic to assume that, in 20 years or so from now, we could build cameras into our heads and record every breath in our whole life for eternity. So yes: What you publish here will probably never die, at least not because of space reasons. |
