VIACOM COURIC SLAP: CBS PARENT RUNS AD MOCKING 'FAKE NEWS'
Fri Jun 16 2006 09:19:30 ET

CBSNEWS parent company VIACOM has began placing ads slamming its very own Katie Couric!

The company's DAILY SHOW rips EVENNING-NEWS-to-be Couric, alleging "fake news" is on the way for viewers this fall when the former TODAY queen takes the anchor chair.

"It's all in good humor," said a CBS executive from New York.

"Everyone knows Ms. Couric is an outstanding journalist."

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

They should sue themselves for libel.

The only problem with that is that the lawyers would make a bucket of money.

It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't.
