That's more than a bit odd. I wonder if the English realise that's what English common law says. I was under the impression that you had to be 16, but to be honest I don't know. It never really came up when I was 15.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

What if Mary from LOTR married a girl named Mary, would it then be Mary merrily married Mary?

The judges say you can do it because Colorado state law says you can do it.

Fair enough, but that law is due for an update IMHO.

And if I asked you if it were true that Merry merrily married Mary, would you not respond...

Verily, Merry merrily married Mary.

Two guys in their 30s do have a rather tough time reproducing, to use IT's argument...

I wouldn't discount the possibility of anyone reproducing with omnipotent divine intervention. It's a pretty flimsy excuse for either side of the argument, though.

Oh Lady Elton! You have not been studying. You should have learned this by now.

It is not a matter of whether they plan to, do or even are capable of procreation. It only matters that one partner has a penis and the other has a vagina.

Don't you remember the lectures?!! God only honors and blesses love and commitment between one person with a penis and one person with a vagina. If this combination of genitalia does not exist, God couldn't care less about the the love two people have for each other -- and He certainly is not going to sanctify such a commitment!

Now, if you want to pass the course, you have got to keep up and get it right!

Not all heterosexuals marry to reproduce.

But NO homosexuals can marry and reproduce within the confines of the relationship. It does not seem to be that hard of a concept to comprehend, yet some folks still don't get it.

Clever satire does not require the distortion of your opponent's position, Rick. You don't seem capable of making the argument without distortion. Typically, you have to try to drag the argument onto more favorable grounds.
