What did you think? Not so much of how it was as a movie, what did you think of the message? |

I want to see it but I cringe when I hear Al Gore speak. I can't put my finger on it. There is just something aloof and condescending about the guy. Gore is the opposite of endearing. He alienates when he speaks. How did he get the job of a politician? Too bad concern for the environment is yet another point of political polarization in America. But I AM in this choir, so I will rent this sermon on when it is out on DVD. |

Nina, as if you didn't expect it...click here! Secondly, as a message? I think the message is a fair one. We should do what we can to help the environment, although maybe not as "critical" or "dire" as al gore makes it seem. Thirdly, I think the mere fact that the world's population is BOOMING, is what's causing all the extra CO2 and depleting resources. |

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth, 89. I mean, either CO2 emissions are increasing and it's a problem, or they're not. Of course it has a lot to do with increasing population. More people requiring more greenhouse gas-producing fuels. What about that makes it less "dire"? I still don't understand why people are unwilling to address global warming seriously. |

Well my point is, the best solution would then be to kill people and/or control population growth. Maybe that is the answer and the Chinese have had it right all along... The temp/CO2 increase is almost directly in line with population growth - not car sales, factories, or politicians talking. |

People do talk about global warming seriously. The earths temperature does vacillate as has been documented by many scientists. What I think you are referring to is the lack of any real scientific data tieing the current warming to greenhouse gasses. Thus far everything is supposition. I think the anti greenhouse gas movement does itself a great disservice by continually insisting the two are tied together. |
