And I'm helping look up information on the internet regarding machines, grants for food, gas, electricity. Basically start up money.

Thanks in advance for the information. If this all sounds conveluded; I'm not exactly sure what is involved in raising chickens for slaughter and what you need and what grants are available. Just looking for someone to put me in the right direction.

Thanks.

What does your Dad know about chickens? Is he subbing to a larger corporation such as Tyson?

I assume your Dad is getting involved with a chip mill...hardwood or softwood? I guess he's got his contracts already lined up...paper mill or construction supply?

I reckon he's started with the county agent, local business incubator, SBA folks. He's got his feed locked in, and a contract for the birds. The chip business has a steady supply of raw material, he knows the quality of chips he has to turn out (some places will P.O. product if it contains too much bark), and he has a waiting customer(s).

Two widely different, fairly involved businesses - I wish him luck.

Not if he's making chickenburgers.

When I read the initial title, that's where I went with it, too. For some reason I kept thinking of that movie Fargo.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?
