Well not to beat a dead horse, but climbing Everest isn't like taking a walk to your mailbox. It's not at all fair to judge the inaction of that other climber since it is far from certain how much control he would have had. If he had acted, that may have meant his own death as well.

I'm glad this man did what he did, but I don't think we're in any position to judge what happened previously as none of us will ever know the full circumstances.
I cite irreconcilable differences.
