Tough Love vs. Spanking

A psychological conundrum

Most of America's populace think it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of "those moments." One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk. They usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Ask my kids if they want to go have a "chat" and they beg.... "No, please, No chat.... please, I'll be good!!!"
They don't like me to jog their memories via their rear end.

They hate standing in the corner for 30 min or more. That one is always good. For real torture, put them in a corner in the TV room where they can only hear it and not see it. Pure torture for the "visual" generation.

My other favorite line is... "Are you buying a ticket?!?!?!"
Meaning... with your current behavior, you are buying a ticket to spend a day/night in your room. .."No... no ticket, no please, I don't want to buy a ticket!"

I'd rather fall into chocolate.

That's a good one!

And how are you today?
