what about the last one, Christopher? It's an amazing photo

It's the view out my apartment bedroom window in Forest Hills, Queens, looking in the direction of Manhattan.

YES!!! Like a little Victorian brooch! Especially with the metalic sheen around it's little eye. I thought that about that dragonfly as well. The thing looked like it was made of enameled gold. I wonder what the pigment is that creates that incredible glimmer?

Really Deb.

I was 17 years old when I took that photo for my High School Newspaper. It was during his campaign in 1979.

Kincaid,

It's called "big honkin' telephoto lens" wide open with a very limited depth of field.

It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't.

HOLY CARP!!!
me too MP

Here's the thing...I don't have very many people-free pictures because we have a rule against them in our family. When I started pulling out our albums about ten years ago to show the kids pictures of our travels before they were born, I was startled by the fact that we *never* took pictures of each other, just stuff. We have thousands of fabulous pictures of sites with absolutely no proof we were actually there...for all anyone could tell, we bought a bunch of great post cards and filled an album. SOooooooo it's the rule now. Pictures need to have people in them.

Maybe we should have a thread for that as well.

I took that photo from my driveway.

I used the "Kit Lens" that came with my Nikon D70.

Identifying narcissists isn't difficult. Just look for the person who is constantly fishing for compliments
and admiration while breaking down over even the slightest bit of criticism.

We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences.
