Really amazing lb!

MP, those orange orchids really were gorgeous. I've never seen anything like them.

Here are a couple other pics from that orchid show, 89th, you'll have to forgive the presence of human life in the second one :P

I really like your beach picture, MP. Something very 'charged' about it. Made me want to stare at it a long time, and get lost in it. Good stuff, hope you keep it up.

You know, being a good photographer has nothing to do with it.

It's all about pouring your emotions into things.

Like, when i took that i was feeling incredibly sad in a lost, lonely kind of way. It really comes out in the picture (well, i think it does). It's funny how art can imitate life like that...

yes, I agree. I think that's what I meant when I said it was charged....I could feel emotion.

I'm not particularly good, but i love photography. I like to take unusual pictures that say something to me, they might not say or mean anything to anyone else...

mp they say something to me

they say you have a good eye and that you pay attention

Deb, that picture of the orchid and your daughter (she is you daughter, right? She's just beautiful and she looks just like you) should be submitted to a greeting card company for consideration.

It touches something when I look at it.

this isn't artistic in any way, (I need to upload some pictures so I can access them readily!) but it is one of my favourite trees from my backyard. It's a pink dogwood.

yes you are Matt...the last one is particularly nice...I like the bug on the yellow flower and the shallow depth of field makes that flower really pop.

Steve, thank you, yep, that's my youngest child. Plays, your photographs are remarkable. Sue, I love the one of the County Hall.

Everybody tell what you're shooting with huh? I'm thinking about how much I want Kenny's Nikon a LOT lately.

And this one i particularly love. You may think it is out of focus, however, these little critters can't half move. They're about millimetre in size and they swarn around on the outside widow ledges and doors in summer. They kindof freak me out but it was so amazing that my photo could capture one where you can actually SEE the spider. They look like just red dots with a human eye.

Christopher, the fourth photo down - the Columbia river gorge?

It's actually the view from a lookout on Rt. 218 along the Hudson River (right outside West Point Military Academy). I grew up in Cornwall. Most of my photography comes from that area. The other pictures are taken up Black Rock Forest/Storm King Mountain.

Out the front door a few minutes later.

And since we are showing flowers and wildlife, a rose in the front yard.

Some of the earlier ones reminded me of the Columbia River Gorge but I noticed there were no evergreens.

Nice photos everyone!
