Here's a link to one of the demented old moose's lies: http://mediamatters.org/items/200503040001 There's tons more on the site and others too. It's not hard to go this route of tracking down her lies/ factual inaccuracies but at the end of the day, why bother? If you agree with her bile then enjoy it. It's not like by agreeing with her anyone's going to think you're certifiable too is it?

The writer in your link is biased, and not presenting all the facts. At the time Coulter wrote that, the democrats running for office were engaged in a little campaign of "outing" republican canditates' homosexual family members during debates and speeches, in an attempt to turn off any conservatives who might not have known it, and who might be turned off by it. Really, if you're going to engage people in debate about things like this, you ought to take the time to develop at least a basic level of knowledge of the overall picture. |

Was the Democratic Party purposely highlighting the gay children of Republican politicians, even outing those who had not publicly professed being gay? You bet your sweet bippy they did. Secondly, before calling someone a demented old moose, please look in the mirror and check your pocketbook - I believe Ann has you whipped on both accounts... |

So who did the Democratic party "out"? What's fair for one is fair for the other. Ycul said Coulter didn't lie, you challenged her to produce a situation where Coulter did lie. You now have the situation, and your defense is "that's not true"? Prove it. |

Don't know about the pocket book part, but Ycul is definately more attractive than Ann Coulter (Sorry Ycul, wish I could pay you a better compliment than that). Starvation, and foaming at the mouth don't seem to be helping AC in the looks dept. |

The difference between Carlin and Coulter is that Carlin admits to being a comedian. It might be more exciting than the footie, with any luck it might it be more violent. |

Not a very persuasive article. Change the word "outed" to "highlighted" and Coulter's version still stands. Many gay homosexuals are publicly "out' to friends and family but not to coworkers and employers (and much less to an entire nation -- which is what Savage ostensibly did). If he used the private lives of people for political purposes, that seems to be very bad form. |

Jolly, I just checked my reflection in the mirror. I'd love to report the sight of a gorgeous supermodel gazing cooly back at me, but sadly, when the overwhelming beauty of the ravishing vixen afore me overcame my ability to withstand the sight of such perfection, I passed out. With regards to the contents of my pocketbook; I'd rather be poor than a gob****e

I completely disagree. There's a big difference between being "outed" and being identified or, if you prefer, highlighted. "Outed" implies that one was identified as gay by someone else, and the individual wished to remain closeted. There's no way that these three folks' sexual identities were secret, or that they didn't want to be public or publicized. Candace Gingrich has been openly gay for years. Maya Keyes went on CNN to discuss her decision to come out. Jamiel Terry had an article published in Out magazine, and his father also published an article about his son's sexual preference. None of these three were "outed," in any sense of the word, by the Democratic Party. |

Oh, you mean the Democratic party used someone or something to make a point, running roughshod over their privacy or personal desires? Stop the presses! That is news! Apparently the Dems were able to learn something from watching the Republicans! They aren't brain-dead after all!

It was actually Dan Savage -- I don't know whether he was the pawn of the DNC or just being his usual self promotional self centered self. I am surprised that you would not condemn all such actions from either side, but rather argue that "the other does it also so it's ok". |

I'm just taking lessons on the art of being argumentative. I'm not good at it yet. I figured (kind of like George Costanza) that if I wanted to say "two wrongs don't make a right," then that was, well, wrong. I needed to say the exact opposite. The wink emoticon kind of gave it away, huh? |

Wait, you think the Democrats outed Mary Cheney? Are you referring to Edwards and Kerry's stupid comment in the debate, on Oct. 13, 2004? “Lynne and I have a gay daughter, so it’s an issue our family is very familiar with,” Cheney told an audience that included his daughter. (Aug. 25, 2004) Wait, wait! Mary was outed by her own father! Oh, the humanity! From Mary Cheney's own book, "John Kerry didn't 'out me', nor did he offend or attack me by calling me a lesbian. It wasn't a secret that I was gay, and I certainly couldn't be offended by the truth.... What was offensive was that he was obviously trying to use me and my sexual orientation for his own political gain.'' Although I felt (and feel) that Kerry/Edward's comments were tacky, I have a hard time working myself into a froth over the injustice of it. You play with the big dogs and sometimes you get bitten. And are you trying to tell me that the Republicans haven't used Mary Cheney's sexuality, overtly and covertly, for their own political gain? |

[Rant] This whole idea that Coulter and others have that the Democrats are totally without scruples, and that the Republican party is a decent, honest organisation is completely laughable. The same also goes for Michael Moore and his idiotic depiction of Bush as some kind of demonic force. For God's, sake, most politicians with at least half a functioning brain have good friends from the opposing side. The real world isn't a bad Western movie, where the bad guys have black hats and the good guys have white hats. The political debate in a democratic nation isn't a fight between good and evil, it's just people with differing views. The level of either stupidity or blindness, whether intentional or otherwise, required to try and maintain this fiction beggars belief. The whole charade resembles a three-ring circus, except that someone has killed the ringmaster and put the people with the big shoes and stupid car in charge. |
