Chill, George.  It's satire.

Didn't recognize the name, my apologies. She's an idiot almost as big as Michael Moore, Sean Hannity, David Duke, Pat Robertson....

Ah, screw it. You know what I mean. :blah:

I wrote a bit of a response to this thread and decided it would not be decent to bring up certain facts from the past which Coulter has had the … nerve to discuss in her books. I haven’t read but one of them, could guess what the others are like. Wont bother. They’d just make me more angry at innocent people who haven’t the faintest idea why they think the way they do about things. It’s been automatic; the schools, the media, college, the natural sciences, everything. Why challenge it? Truth is one thing, force is another.

Suffice it to say … again … that the ideas calling themselves Liberal are far from it while one wonders what the conservatives are really bothering to conserve. The spin to everything is nauseating after a while.

Yes, Coulter is a bomb thrower and make no mistake, she’s out to sell books and increase her fame. All she has to do is say something fantastically rude … just like what Liberals have done for years and gotten away with it. Oh, they’re soooo smart!

I suppose she could have settled into a law practice even in Washington, DC. She is a lawyer I believe. She just decided it would be more fun to make money and waves as a kind of crazy poli celeb – just like all the others down there in DC on both sides.

Neither side has a clue, just what the Barge wants.
And on 1 20 2009, HRC will take over from GWB and what has been apparent will not change.

Mike Lupica on Ann Coulter:

Quote:

In the words of the great Jimmy Breslin, the real problem with Ann Coulter is that there is no bottom with her.

There is nothing she won't do or say to make herself more famous.

She wants you to believe that she stands for America.

She doesn't.

She stands for being famous.
It would be unwise to underestimate what large groups of ill-informed people acting together can achieve. -- John D'Oh, January 14, 2010.

Nah. She nailed the modern liberal left's ass to the wall. Modern liberalism *has* become a religion, and they *do* hide behind people you can't debate without looking mean, using them to spread their intellectually bankrupt ideology.

Cindy Sheehan is out telling everyone that Zarkari's (I know that's not how you spell it, but I don't give a ****) death is a "bad thing" - the latest in a long string of mentally ill spew to come from that bitch. Yet the left keeps standing her up there to push her stupid points because they can always yell foul if anyone points out what an idiot the woman is. Yet they conveniently refuse to acknowledge the fact that this "grieving mother" didn't even raise the boy, abandoned him when he was like 7 I believe, has yet to put a gravestone on his grave, and only visits his grave for photo ops.

Murtha, that great "war hero" has stepped on his dick so many times it isn't even funny any more, yet any attempt to point out what a mindless moron this clown is brings howls of protest from the left - the only war hero they have any use for other than John Kerry (he fought in Vietnam, you know...) Murtha's latest act of treason was to accuse some marines of killing innocent civilians in "cold blood". The left couldn't wait to rush to judgment on the marines involved, using it for exactly the reason this fool intended it to be used - to let the left start chanting "bring the troops home now" - all while the people with a functioning brain weren't allowed to point out how damaging Murtha's comments and the left's use of it was. Now it turns out that there's a very good chance that things didn't go down the way Murtha claimed, and the soldiers may very well have been acting in self defense. Time will tell, but with the religion of liberalism and their insulated from criticism spokesmen, rational, moral, and ethical investigation of the matter won't be given that time. Murtha and his idiot partners in crime will continue yelling about Haditha and "cold blooded murder" as if it were a proven fact, and the sheep in their fold will continue to defend them. And they will continue to defend them because of the very things Ann Coulter has written in her book. She nailed the modern liberal leftists' collective ass, and drew blood. She attacked your religion.

And I think she deserves the Congressional Medal of Honor for having the guts to stand up and tell your religious leaders what a sorry bunch they are, and for pulling the rock off the liberal religion and exposing it for the ugly, sorry, and treasonous bunch of idiots it is. So trash her all you want, libs! You squeal because the truth about your religion has been exposed once again, an arrow has been shot straight into its treasonous heart.

As a civilian, she's not eligible. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the nation's highest civilian award.

I don't really think she should be trashed for being a conservative. She maybe shouldn't even be trashed for being as rude and offensive as she is. She should, however, be trashed for being a GOP shill. She never even acknowledges any opposing points. For a woman who is allegedly as intelligent as she is, there's very little independent thought going on, all she ever does is think of new ways of being rude about the Democratic party and anybody else who doesn't agree with her. There is no person or political doctrine that is always right, or always wrong, and she doesn't acknowledge this.

And like my sainted grandmother always used to say, 'if you can't say something nice, STFU!' ;)

liberalism is.....liberalism is....liberalism is...more of the usual crap.

For you, and anyone who takes her - or Michael Moore - or any of the regular political shills seriously. It says more about you than it does about them.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

I think you're under teh mistaken impression that she devotes her intelligence to forming and expressing intellectually honest opinions. Maybe she's devoting her intelligence to getting on TV and being famous and rich, in which case I'd say an honest appraisal of her results would have to give her her due for being damned smart indeed. She's far from the only fame and money seeker without much compunction against cheap pandering and manipulation. She's just better at it than most and the results speak for themselves.
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

To be honest, I completely agree with this. She's a media personality, not a serious pundit, and she's very good indeed at playing the game. How long until she gets her own reality TV show, I wonder?

My guess, and its just a guess, is it will only last this week, bouyed by sales for fathers day. Keep in mind her target market is middle-aged conservative men.

In fact she probably timed her book for a father's day debut.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

The problem those of you who try your best to put her and Michael Moore in the same league have to deal with is that Moore makes his stuff up out of whole cloth, and Coulter deals in facts. Uncomfortable facts for those of you whose oxes get gored for sure - but facts nonetheless. Another thing I've noticed with liberals is while they think they're very farsighted and broad minded, they usually end up pissing and moaning over a tiny surface issue while missing the broader picture - something that is in clear evidence in the case of the comments you're all trashing Coulter on in her book. In short, most liberals can't see enough of the total picture to even understand what it is she said.

That's because liberalism is a mental disorder, and your brains are diseased........ ;)

Moore, no doubt, makes stuff up, and minipulates snipets of video to suit him. That makes him a liar in my book. Coulter deals not with fact, but hyperbole, and many of her facts are wrong. That makes her a liar. They both are shills out to make a buck.

I'm willing to say MM is a liar and a shill, are you not willing to say the same about Coulter?

Where did Coulter lie? Not really being snarky, just genuinley curious. Moore's lies are easy do document.

Coulter does deal with hyperbole, but, where are her facts wrong?

Now - instead of doing the typical liberal dismissal, why don't *you* step up to the plate and tell us where she lied?
