Yesterday being an ominous date to many, the History channel had an interesting episode dealing with the Antichrist and the prophecies from the books of Daniel and Revelations. According to this show, the Rapture, (where all Christians ascend to heaven like Elijah), is never mentioned in the bible. The bible only states that the Antichrist will preside over 7 years of nastiness on Earth, followed by Christ returning and conquering Satan and then a 1000 years of peace and good times on Earth. Nowhere in the Bible does it state that all believers will first be whisked away to heaven before these 7 years of woe occur. What are your thoughts and beliefs on this matter and if you do believe in the Rapture, what is the basis for this belief? |

What's interesting is that everyone agrees that the Antichrist will be a very eloquant personality who will sway all who hear him. He will come off as a very devout Christian, quoting scripture, as well as delivering miracles and solutions to world problems. The thing is, the entire Christian community is so hyperaware and has been for years, of any Antichrist appearance, so it would be a wonder how this Antichrist could sneak into the good graces of the world without being suspect of who he indeed is. With that said, I believe the human form of Satan (Antichrist), will be female, just to throw off everyone. The Devil is a bitch. |

Well, it wasn't highly advertised, and I don't think he traveled with any openers this time 'round. He hit only a few major cities, but they were real small venues. Word through the grapevine is he'll be doing a comeback tour with Daniel at some point, but the date is uncertain. |

IT could explain better (of course!), but there are certain Protestant faiths who believe in "the rapture." I'm not familiar with it in its current popular sense. I understand "the rapture" is a belief of premillennial dispensationalist Protestants. |

Ahhh...no. The "entire" Christian community has not been hyperaware. Very small segments of the Christian community have been hyperaware. The rest of us don't give it much thought at all. |

Identifying narcissists isn't difficult. Just look for the person who is constantly fishing for compliments and admiration while breaking down over even the slightest bit of criticism. We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. | |

from the raptureletters website:
So really, all it takes is one crappy worker to forget to hit the "Reset" button, and millions of people receive an email wrongly stating a loved one has been taken up to heaven? |

I understand "the rapture" is a belief of premillennial dispensationalist Protestants. perhaps IT can comment further and explain the distinction between theoligical understandings of being reuinited with Christ at the second coming, and the specific idea of "the rapture," which pertains to Christians being taken up from earth before the second coming. |
