HOLY CARP!!!

I think they were trying to sell homes at auction or something along those lines. But the way they tried to pretend there was massive demand was to say at the end of the commercial that "people who's last names start with A through N can call today. People with last names that start with O through Z can call tomorrow starting at 9 AM." (Of course this commercial runs every day with that exact "rule".) I thought that was the pinnacle of cynical, manipulative, intelligence insulting advertising. I was impressed! |
| As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good? | |

"Any man who would make an X rated movie should be forced to take his daughter to see it". - John Wayne There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it". Henry II: I marvel at you after all these years. Still like a democratic drawbridge: going down for everybody. Eleanor: At my age there's not much traffic anymore. From The Lion in Winter. | |

Horace, a bit of trivia, IIRC. The name, the Wizard of "Oz", came from when the writer was trying to think of a name, and on a filing cabinet near by had the letters O-Z.
