It is still prison and you don't have your freedom. I'd rather live free in a cardboard box.

Duluth prison has a piano!

That would explain many of the posts on the PW Piano Forum.

If you did, some conservative would have you locked up for vagrancy. In a much crummier prison.

Quirt:

Are you offering your backyard for the homeless to make a new tent city?

If so, please publish your address where the homeless can find a place of sanctuary and not be arrested for vagrancy.

I wasn't aware that my backyard was the equivalent of a public space belonging to ALL the people.

But it's nice to know that, like a true conservative, you have infinite respect for property rights.

And like a true liberal, you have all the compassion in the world as long as it happens on the public dole and doesn't affect your upper middle class lifestyle?

How about the curb in front of your house? You wouldn't call the police on them there, would you?

Sorry, bud, but I live in the suburbs. There's no sidewalk. My property line runs to the street.

And if they lived in the street, they'd get run over.

Guess you'll have to try a different snarky approach, that one failed miserably.

How "convenient". You simply live in an upper middle class suburb that excludes the homeless through zoning them out of the area.

How convenient. You edit your posts to add extra snarkiness. What's the problem, you're not clever enough to think of the entire thing the first time?

You start with a snarky comment, and when called on it you can only continue with your snarkiness.

Now that you can no longer argue your indefensible position you have to start making it personal.

My comment was a joke about conservatives in general.

You made it personal, like the true ass**** you are.

And then ... as usual ... when I fight back, you start whining about how I took the first shot.

You really are a cowardly bully.

Once again, all you can do is make it personal. And of course you have to resort to profanity.

Do you realize that you whine like a little boy that I'm such a bully -- you can't be that much of a wuss. I've never had a problem going toe to toe with anyone -- including you.

All I did was call you on your silly comment about conservatives "in general" and you couldn't defend your position since you live an upper middle class suburban community that conveniently has been zoned so that you don't have to deal with the homeless on the streets. Do you realize that you come across as a typical cadillac liberal, Quirt?

I won't escalate to your crassness, Quirt. I'd just feel really bad about being mean to such a delicate flower.

Oh, please. I'm not scared of bullies. The minute I push back, you start whining about how I go ad hominem when my position is "indefensible".

Mik seemed to take my little joke and run with it in the manner in which it was intended. You, on the other hand ... you had to turn it personal. You always turn it personal.

You have this veneer of civility and intellect, but really, you have the same old mantra ... you repeat the same seven lines in every argument you ever have. You have nothing original or creative to say. When someone says something about conservatives in general, you make it personal ... just as you did in this thread. And then you complain when someone fights back against you on a personal level.

You are a nasty, mean-spirited hypocrite. You're not even terribly smart. You're contemptible, and you're not worth my time.

You took a cheap shot at conservatives regarding the homeless and I called you on it. Now we realize that you are holed up in your comfy white bread suburb where you don't have to deal with the homeless because they have been zoned out of your suburban lifestyle. So your snarky comment about conservatives now can be seen for the hypocrisy and posturing that it is.

I've done nothing to bully you, simply because I don't bully. FWIW, I've never heard a grown man complain that another grown man was a bully. That's rather lame behavior and makes me think that your emotional development ceased around 11 years old. You get busted and turn vitriolic. Have you ever thought that you might be a narcissist? If anyone challenges your position or your attempts at alpha male dominance, the fangs come out instantly. No middle ground for you, Quirt -- no banter allowed. It's not a particularly healthy interactive dynamic, Quirt, but you've already acknowledged that this is not the first time you've heard that from anyone.

Let's make a deal -- quit taking cheap shots at conservatives, and I'll quit calling you on it. If you make cheap shots, I'll call you on it. And when I make cheap shots, feel free to call me on it.

Deal, amigo?

No deal. Not until your rabid attack dog stops mindlessly repeating how liberals have a mental disorder. You're perfectly happy to attack me when I make a joke about conservatives, but I don't see your delicate sensibilities quite as offended by the constant barrage against liberals or Democrats. Talk about hypocrisy.

As long as that's the standard of play on the board, I don't intend to cede the ground.

But I don't get personal until someone else does. Every single time we've gotten personal, you've gone there first. If you don't want me to get personal, then don't get personal.

Larry is his own man. You deal with him as you wish. That's between you and him.

You call him on what offends you. I have no problem with that. The ONE time I wrote you a personal note you blasted it back at me and later made it public. I learned my lesson that there is no point trying to reason with you in that regard.

You also seem to have no sense of proportion. My "personal" comment asking about the availability of your backyard was in no sense a truly "personal" "attack" as your calling me an asshole, a hypocrite, contemptible, etc. That lack of proportionate response also indicates a narcissistic personality. It's something that you should learn to moderate. You and your loved ones will be happier for it.

No one is asking you to cede ground, Quirt. Your defensive mechanism is so overwrought that everything seems a threat. It's really not -- it's just banter. You can relax.
