Amazing as has already been said

Just out of curiosity, and recalling that you did sell pianos for many years, did you ever play in the piano shop and for customers?

No. I learned early on that the worst thing someone trying to sell a piano can do is intimidate the buyer to the point they won't play the piano themselves. When I sold pianos, I simply played a short chord progression to show them the tonality of a given piano. Any playing done was by the customer, blissfully unaware that I knew anything beyond what they'd heard....

Now - here's one for the ladies.......

Larry,

I've been trying since last night to listen to your vocal stuff, but it's always telling me that the bandwidth is maxed out.

I did hear the first one you posted, though, of just the instruments. :thumb:

I was only able to get the first one to work. But, that one was very very good. I am impressed. :)

Mark, thanks for the offer. I'm gonna take you up on it. But - I tried to email you just one of them, and it took 35 minutes just to get 45% of it uploaded. I've got to get out of here and get some stuff done, so I couldn't sit around and wait.

But - tonight, I'll upload to Mark for him to host for me:

Improvisation 1
Improvisation 2
Improvisation 3
Satin Doll
And I Love You So
Mack The Knife :D (It's a hoot - I'd never played that one before either, and you can tell I'm feeling it out the first time through to get it in my head - and I'm getting p-r-e-t-t-y blistered about then......)

Larry, I'll email the first three to Mark, if that is agreeable to both of you?

(well...not the first 3 on your list...the improv 1, Satin Doll and And I love you so are what I have)

There is a difference between somebody who plays piano and a musician.

Y'all just heard a musician.

InDEED.

AMAZING!!

That's good, Deb. I sent them to Mark also. I'm sending him a few more right now - it says it'll be done in an hour or so........ :veryangry:

The outfit I used to host them is a freebie (what can I say - I'm a tightwad.....). It said I could upload 25 megs of stuff - what it didn't say was that others could only download 25 megs worth in a day as well. That means a 5 meg file can be downloaded only 5 times, and it locks the thing up.

I appreciate Mark's willingness to mess with this.

Another trick to host files is to set up a gmail account, e-mail the files to that account (or from that account to someone if your server has an attachment size limitation) and then make the account (name, password) known to other people. So they would log in the account and download the files from there (from the inbox or sent folders).

YOu're a great musician Larry. :)
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

I'm getting a little swoony myself actually, but I don't think it's possible to French kiss a man in a hunting, fishing, out-doorsey kind of a way, so I think I might be better to just stop listening.

(Just kidding, but the recordings are very good)
