HOLY CARP!!!
I just went to check on the status of my application to work at Blockbuster this summer. Evidently, I didn't meet all of the requirements.

So I guess I'll just have to find an easier job before going back to the university next fall. :silly:

Sorry to hear about that, Sam. :(

What the carp kind of "requirements" did you not meet? Experience is my guess.

It is still my firm belief that the job application process for the vast majority of jobs in the U.S. couldn't possibly contain more B.S.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

Sam, I think you didn't get the job when you said you had the requirement that they only show Amadeus, Immortal Beloved, and Shine.

When I went for my first job interview, I guess I was pretty confident, because I told the guy who was interviewing me he was fired. I didn't get that job, but that isn't what bothered me.
What bothered me was I found out a few months later that that guy was still working there. Hey, man, I fired you.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

I don't know. They can be pretty demanding.

Maybe you can go into Event Planning or back to the Family Business ("Sanitation") like Anthony Soprano Jr, who doesn't seem to like his job at Blockbuster too much on The Sopranos.

Sam...you should apply for a job as a Pepperidge Farms quality control expert. I can't think of anyone better qualified to make sure we continue to receive the high calibre Goldfish we have come to expect. Unless you eat them all....

Not a lot, although there are better paying summer jobs out there.

Wathing lots of movies?

At the Blockbuster's here, all the people that work there, seem to watch too many movies. They're always telling you about the movies you're renting. It always seems like they've seen everything.

I worked on a lawn crew during summer months. Nothing like the power that comes with learning to control a 48. Good excercise too.

Sam,
Try Best Buys. My son worked at Best Buys while going to school. He loved it. They treated him well with scheduling, paid well and had excellent discounts.
