HOLY CARP!!!
The rock stars have begun their torture jam session in the room below mine.

I can't listen to my Glenn Gould CD anymore! Not with bass guitar in the background!

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

It's SUPPOSED to be loud, but, Ligeti - to the non initiated can be annoying.
How about "Renard" or some Shoenberg? Pierrot Lunaire would be perfect.

The goal is, after all, to annoy, right? :croc:

(oh, and point the speakers down, subwoofer up to 11)

My mom yelled at me from the other side of the house to turn down my music.

So now it is semi-loud; before it was really loud.

Oh well.

My chair is vibrating from the bass guitar...

Play some Strauss waltzes. They can be annoying.

I'd try that funny organ music they play in ice rinks. To retain sanity you need to go out before you switch it on, though, so you might need a timer switch of some kind.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

I've learned from experience that this doesn't work.

My music annoyed her, not his!

That was when I was blasting Beethoven. I guess she likes Saint-Saens?

:P

(anyway, I'm almost done with a game of scrabble online, so then I'll go and play piano myself)

Sam, I suggest you take up a second instrument. Perhaps trumpet or Sousaphone.

yep! (they were frat boys, too! :P ) when my chair and desk vibrate from the bass in the room below me, and i'm sick and want to go to sleep, i don't care who they are or how nice they are, the music has got to stop. he was nice and did turn it down. oh, and before we went to the RA, we did knock on their door, but i'm guessing it was so loud, they couldn't hear the knocking.
And how are you today?
