Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

HOLY CARP!!!
I drive about 20,000 miles a year. I'd be spending $3800.00 (1315 gallons) for fuel in the Expedition versus $1200.00 (401 gallons) in the Hybrid for a $2600.00 yearly savings. That fuel cost savings pays the car payment, 10 out of 12 months. Sweet. :thumb:

I drive about 14,000...and have a medium sized sedan, so instead of paying $1,600 a year...I would be paying 800.

It basically cuts everything I'm using (gas, money, etc.) in half.

But unless you could find me a hybrid for $12K or less, it isn't worth the savings. Right now hybrids are costing between 20 and 30K. The savings from it wouldn't level out for a couple years.

89 here are two hybrids under $12K.
Plus these are the ones with the highest EPA, 66 MPG.
One for $9K.
Another for $11K.

One problem, Kenny. As a 23-24 year old, I'm sure 89th would probably be financing his car. Finance companies would be unlikely to finance someone his age on cars that old, with that much mileage.
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

Thanks for the search, Kenny.

My car currently has 119,000 miles on it and runs really well. If I were to get a hybrid (or a new car in general) it would have to have less than 50 or 60 thousand miles. Also the reasons LD pointed out...

They don't list the Lexus 400h as a hybrid.
