HOLY CARP!!!
|
I promised Liam that we would go to the "Green Park" (our local Provincial Park) this weekend. It wasn't nearly warm enough, in my opinion, but I did promise, so off we went. The only way to get a natural smile - surprise him coming down the slide. ![]() Climbing a tree (more on that later). The disgusted look on his face is the result of him telling me to stop taking pictures. ![]() Moments before deciding that the climber was "up too high". ![]() ![]() The cold water didn't seem to bother Liam. ![]() Being silly in the sand ![]() ![]() And Liam's picture of me on the beach. ![]() We then went for a walk across the creek, and Liam wanted to climb a tree to get a closer look at the water. The tree went out over the edge of the (luckily dry around the edges) creek bed, but was basically a horizontal branch, so I figured he'd be fine. As he was climbing back down, he slipped and fell down to the creek bed. There were tonnes of last fall's leaves lining the bed, and the ground underneath is damp, so it broke his fall. He was pretty shaken up, but ok. Of course, he's assured me that I "should have caught him". Holy guilt, batman! |

I just found a pic of him on the same slide last summer - I think I posted it here at the time. He doesn't look THAT different, but yet he does...

Great pictures, dol! I love the one of Liam on the climbing thing, with the water and blue sky and jet streams in the background....and the sun just glinting off the top of his head.

No, it's their piano teacher. It was a recital of piano duets, and they each played with the teacher. |

Just some little pieces from their piano books. Something called Twice as Nice, and something called Broadway Boogie. They're only 8, and they are not Musical Princesses. |

They are many things. Terrified of performing in public, they are not. I have no clue how I managed to raise two children utterly lacking in stage fright. |
