Says me. And says Ax. BTW, S&F is Frank. While overall, I would say that Ax did a good job, sure, there are things I would have done differently. For that matter, so would you, if you were placed in the same position. The biggest problem is that it's not a good position. To run people (and like George, I've been known to have few folks under me in the broom closet), you have to have carrots, sticks, and the authority to use them. It's Frank's board, Frank's vision, but Ax was doing most of the heavy lifting as moderator. The problem is that no two people are always in accordance on behavior, which is the moderator's job - to regulate behavior. The best moderator is always going to be the site's owner, or a person given complete authority by the owner. Thor's Hammer is heavy, but sometimes it must be used. And when it is used, the same standards must always apply. I think the situation of this board with Mr. Lee should more than illustrate that assertion. In conclusion, I already know who the next moderator may be, if he wants the job... |

I need it right now I'm afraid... Actually, as a result of this thread I went over there for the first time in I don't know how long and actually found a few "pianist" threads I wouldn't mind contributing to. Some time soon perhaps. |
