Too snarky a title, I know. Ax is no longer a moderator of the PW PF. Wonder who the next victim, er, moderator will be? |

I thought Ax was a very good moderator with a personality and intellect that lent themselves to the job. But I completely understand him quitting. What a thankless load of work that job would be. |
| As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good? | |

Not just thankless, but out and out hurtful on more than one occasion. I thought Ax did a great job. Has anyone else stepped up to the plate? (I haven't been over there to check.) |

Oh God, was he in the piano forums as well? I seem to remember he used to show up in the old computer game Usenet discussions years ago. He was a complete arse. |

I thought Ax did a good job in one of the most thankless of tasks. I'm still moderating the adult beginner forum over there - PW equivalent of "in the rear with the gear." |

Random FML: Today, I was fired by my boss in front of my coworkers. It would have been nice if I could have left the building before they started celebrating. FML The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D | |

Back when Davey was going through his "I've got a radio show" insanity, I razzed him unmercifully, and in the process created a "Best of Davey Slayer" CD.... here's the cover........

(Kathyk posting from JF's computer in DC) Says who? I just logged into PW and he's still listed there along with Sharpsandflats and Piano World as the moderators. I echo everyone here who says he's done and great job and big back slaps to him for taking on such a thankless task. |

Hi Kathy. There was a time, years ago, that I was in charge of about 50 people. Thankless was not the word for that job. I can't imagine running herd on a bunch of people like those at PW (good AND bad). I'm surprised that he lasted this long. Ax, wanna fill us in? |
