HOLY CARP!!!
|
The family unit & I took a quick mini-trip to visit family in Pennsylvania, and take a little "us time" as well. The girls suggested another Pirates game (we took them to PNC Park once a while back), so this afternoon we watched the Pirates (allegedly) play the Cardinals while eating hot dogs, pierogies, Dip n Dots, peanuts, and various drinks. After the game, we took the girls for a ride up & down the Duquesne Incline - it was all of their first Incline experience, and my first one since I was probably about twelve. We hung out on the overlook, while a film crew from HBO shot some stock footage for some upcoming show. It was a gorgeous day, in every sense of the word. I see lots of posts and new threads in the last 48-odd hours. Reading them - or most of them - is going to have to wait; I have to go into overdrive to finish the sermon I have to give Saturday am. I'll be very scarce till that's over, but just wanted to check in & say hi. So,

Dwain, welcome back. Family time is always great. My kids are so scattered now, with different schedules, and my goofy schedule that eating together is unusual these days.. When you're done with the sermon, will you share it with us? Please!

Sorry I didn't know you were here Dwain. Our paths must have very nearly crossed. I paused at the parking lot for the Duquesne Incline last evening after work to eat a sandwich before going to a IEEE meeting in Oakland. I like to stop there sometimes because it's on the way between many things and I can watch the boats and trains passing up and down along the rivers. Big Al |

ZOOOOOM!

Welcome back, Dwain! I know what you mean watching the P-rats play. It's comforting in a way; you know the folks who are at the games are the ones who really want to be there. Check back in when you can! |
