Dunno, but last night my wife made the most fabulous Philly cheesesteak. A deli could stay in business on the reputation of that sandwich.

I refuse to answer under the grounds that I might incriminate myself.

(in other words, I ordered a freakishly tasty pizza sub from the shop next to my laundromat :P )

the usual pasta, cheese, oil, spices, tomatoes mixture- but this time with some sundried tomatoes thrown in, too.

I had a salad with butter lettuce, red bell pepper (lots of it) sliced almonds, shrooms, dried cranberries and a nice dash of balsamic vinegar and some drips of EVOO

Dessert was a Walnut Whip (wicked grin)

Yum, all these salads sound good.

Anybody have a really good method of warming up tortillas, flat breads, rotis etc.? Getting them warm enough while keeping them soft (I use whole wheat ones, usually) is a bit of a pain. ?

This works well, but only for flat breads and tortillas, or if you have a large sandwich or hamburger that's too big to take a bite out of.

My commute is about 25 mins so it is plenty of time. Pull your pants down and slip a pita under each thigh and cheek. A leather interior works best, but does impart a different "flavor", if you will. I don't have any suggestions if you have a family of five, other than I suppose you could stop half-way home and change sides if you had them double stacked.

By the time you get home they are nice and soft and warm.

Now, I have a great recipe for a wilted salad...

Salad Nicoise

I pronounced that once at a restaurant.

I ended up looking the pronunciation. I ordered it once in a restaurant and asked the waitress how to pronounce. She had no idea.

BTW It's wonderful!

Man, they have a web site for everything. Although, I've always found cooking shows were they pronounce the foreign names in the original language comes across as pretentious.

I say, Ri-COT-uh, you say Ree-CO-tuh.

I love Niçoise...I make it quite frequently in the summer months when I have fresh green beans.

Sue...having you tried steaming your bread? If I want something warm and moist, not toasted or grilled, I put an open rack over a pan of boiling water and lay the bread/tortilla on it. That's the way my mom did sandwich buns when I was a kid and I have always liked them that way, warm and soft.

Wow, it all sounds good to me.

We had homemade ravioli left over from yesterday (Sunday). The tomato sauce always tastes better the second day after the meat (beef and pork chunks, meatballs with pignoli nuts, and hot Italian sausage) juices have had more time to infuse the sauce. For dessert, I had a 3.5 oz bar of Lindt “Intense Pear” dark chocolate.
