HOLY CARP!!!

http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wcs/store...catalogId=10001

you have to do a search for gold

The U.S. Mint sells gold coins.
$770 for a one-ounce coin
A set of four coins contains 1.85 ounce for $1350, or $729 and ounce.

This seems like a simple and reliable way to buy gold.
Too bad the price of gold is about $590 now.

Where/how can we buy at $590 or as close as possible.
Do you actually get the gold?

Go to Hong Kong to get gold close to market value.

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

The Middle East is also a good choice (for gold that is - maybe not a good place to travel!)

They sell gold jewelry with almost no additional price - they only charge for the actual gold content.

I met someone who told me that they once bought a gold bar. They kept it as kind of a conversation piecem while they were in the Middle East. When they sold it back, it had lost X grams of weight from being handled.

Does anyone remember back in the 80s (maybe late 70s) when people were investing in gold?

I had a friend who bought some Krugerrands and lost his shirt. The market for gold is looking better now, though.

That seems pretty ridiculous and a bad way to spend your money, if you ask me.

No sir, for my hard earned money, I'm going to make sure I invest into something safe, secure, and most importantly, reliable.

Yep, I'll invest in the stock market.

And you could always support TNCR by buying gold from one of the advertisers at the bottom of the page.

Meanwhile, we have a choice selection of stocks appearing on the top of this page as I type.

You can buy gold in an IRA but they don't let you take posession.

Their price is good though, 608.15 today for the U.S. 1 oz coin.

If you buy outside an IRA, if you sell at a profit is it taxable?

Are gold transactions reported to the IRS like stock transactions are?
