I sent you this in a PM, but I figured I should share it here as well. I owe you an apology. I had no right to accuse you of anything based on just a gut feeling. I got way too wrapped up in that thread - yes I wallowed - and I should have just kept my mouth shut. Anyway, I'm sorry.

And, as I expressed to Jodi (one of my favorite people here) in response to her PM - thank you, and - no problem.

Sure would be nice if those who post the most personally offensive comments most often were the ones who apologized rather than were apologized to.

Yes, it *would* be nice to see you apologize for all your personally offensive comments, wouldn't it?

I am so adjective that I verb nouns!
One thing about Rick -- he is a gentleman and *very rarely* has anything to apologize for. As much as I disagree with him about so many things, and kid him about the Zimmerian Dialectic ®, I can't fault his civility.

Thanks Thumps.

You might be interested to know that I have explained the Zimmerian Dialectic ® in one of my classes and have told the students I expect them to use it!

Full disclosure -- I did the first; they all had a good laugh. I did not do the second!

No, it's not in their nature. If they were that sincere, they wouldn't be politicians. Oxymoronic, you know.
