I hate it. Last week when I still had my stitches in, I was even cleaning my chin with the bottled stuff. The tap water was just funky enough that I wasn't about to pour it onto an open wound. |

Yeah, not too sure. I know they add trace metals and other chemicals to make it resemble “clear spring water”, because without those trace compounds and elements, not only would the water be beyond stale and nasty to drink, it’d also be a little bad for you, too. “Pure filtered water” it certainly isn’t (nor should it be). And yeah LD, couch is always open! But speaking of water, we may or may not have hot water this week… ![]() |

I dropped a skillet on it. I have a hanging rack in my kitchen and it slipped out of my hands. It's okay now, just managing to make it look less grotesque with a nice coat of Clinique during the day. At night I'm using these spanky little scar patches that are supposed to make it heal lighter and smoother. Guess we'll find out if they work! |

I voted Pepsi if I had to choose. Although coke is perfectly fine as well, especially on a hot day! Coke Zero is amazing! I don't know how they do it, but it's really good and doesn't taste diet at all. I brought over a 2 liter bottle to LD and M&Ms...and M&Ms hated it! I guess some people just dont like it, but I'm with you, I think it's great. I have it in my fridge right now. |

That's really weird too, I drink that ALL the time! Well I used to buy a bottle each day during work, but that got expensive, so now I just have a 30-pack of Dasani in my trunk and pull one out each morning! The cold weather keeps it cold...

I bet Schindler likes bottled water! You can NOT survive in Mexico without bottled water. Unless, of course, you're in the mood for a little Montezuma's Revenge.

The selling of Coca-Cola products was recently banned from my university campus. (seriously) ( http://www.umich.edu/~coke/ ) from the website: WHY DO WE WANT COKE OFF CAMPUS? Murders and Human Rights Abuses in Colombia Since 1989, 8 union leaders from Coca-Cola bottling plants have been murdered by paramilitary forces in association with Coke plant managers. Dozens of other workers have been intimidated, kidnapped or tortured There is clear evidence that managers of several plants have ordered assaults to occur and made regular payments to leaders of the paramilitary groups- Attacks have greatly benefited Coke and increased their profits by reducing union membership and diminishing the strength of workers demands for fair labor rights. A court case filed in 2001 in Miami against Coca-Cola regarding these issues remains unsettled while investigations by Hiram Monserrate (2004) and Lesley Gil (2004) prove allegations are legitimate. Environmental Devastation in India A pattern of abuse has emerged for Coca-Cola’s bottling operations in India. Coca-Cola is guilty of: Polluting ground water and soil around its bottling facilities Distributing its toxic waste as “fertilizer” to farmers containing dangerous concentrations of cadmium and lead. Selling drinks with high levels of pesticides with DDT—sometimes 30 times higher than EU standards. Refusing to print contained percentage of pesticides on product labels per the legal demand of Indian governmental bodies. Causing severe water shortages in extremely drought-prone communities across India Although governmental bodies have attempted to hold Coca-Cola accountable and huge demonstrations by community members have resulted in a shutdown of their largest Indian plant. Coke has failed to compensate for its crimes. Union Busting and Beatings in Turkey and Indonesia Since May 20th, over 100 members of the union DISK/Nakliyat-Ls who distribute Coca-Cola in Turkey were fired in a transparent union worker clearout. While campaigning to return to work and camped outside the Yenibosna plant in cardboard shelters, workers and their families were subjected to brutal violence by riot police acting at the behest of Coca-Cola July 20th: while inside the plant hoping to negotiate with management, police tear gassed and physically assaulted workers and their families, injuring many workers children and spouses. Following the riot police attack, 92 people were arrested. Only 7 remain detained, including the president of the Nakliyat-Ls union. In October 2004, at a Coca-Cola facility in Indonesia, United Can Company workers attempted to form a union. They were met with intimidation tactics and financial bribes from managers obviously hoping to suppress union activity. In June 2005, after a union newsletter was circulated in the plant, 12 unionists were fired. Because they had not yet occurred, allegations regarding Turkey and Indonesia were not brought to the Dispute review Board last year. |

I have well water at home. My all-time favorite water was Caxambu, which I drank in Brazil. It also went very well with Scotch, better than soda or seltzer. My favorite spring on the farm I grew up on was destroyed by strip mining. That water really tasted good after working in the hay fields nearby. I voted Coke in the poll, but very seldom drink soft drinks of any sort. If I do choose a cola, it's usually Coke. If you're in Atlanta, I recommend visiting the World of Coca-Cola. It's very commercial but all those old Coke ads and jingles revive a bunch of memories (amazing how they integrated their product so closely into American culture) and the room where you taste different products from around the world was really fun. Coca Cola was fined big time over their Dasani water claims when they first introduced it. If I remember correctly, they used the term "spring" something or other on the label. Coca Cola's headquarters are in Atlanta, and I was living there at the time. As it turned out the only "spring" the water saw was in the employee's step as he turned on the faucet....... it turned out that Coke was simply filtering and bottling water that came out of their water lines, which of course was fed by the Fulton County Water System..... And that's still where it comes from. |

Which is also the same water put into Coke, Sprite, etc....... You have to wonder how much more profit per bottle Coke and Pepsi make from their respective waters when compared to their sodas. |

Made in Scotland, from Girders! It's just about the best hangover cure there is, as well as being pretty nice in it's own right. As a kid, I really liked Dandelion and Burdock, which is another soft drink you don't get over here. |
