What's your most hated word?

Seems to me we did this not long ago, but always glad to put in a bad word for these two:

Appropriate
Special

“Appropriate” is the worst as it epitomizes what’s wrong with our society. “Appropriate” crushes creativity, suspends critical thinking, while replacing commitment and moral judgment – all in one fell swoop. (It is one special word!!)

Picturing the Pope, Bin Laden, future presidential candidates and all PW spinoff fora, uniting to proclaim what they stand for: the Appropriate.

(Also our local School Board defending their new budget and " explaining" my son’s educational objectives :mad2: )

We should tolerate eccentricity in others, almost to the point of lunacy, provided no one else is harmed.

I think this is the most amazing superior thread. Rlly, it’s awesome. I think it’s so special, it’s appropriate to call it a classic. (For those disappointed that I didn’t include their most hated word, get a life.)

later edit: BTW, I hate the phrase "get a life." Maybe it was clever the first time it was used. Now it's just a refuge for those who want to seem hip, but never had anything resembling an original thought.

You're on report for posting *****.

I could tolerate the **** and the ****. But the ***** was definitely crossing the line.

This is an easy one...

My most hated word is F**k. It's a useless, tasteless and overused word. I hear some young people say in in almost every sentance using it as an adjective. :smokin:

I remember in high school, the big thing was to say "That's so ignorant!" -ignorant being used as "rude."

That's so annoying!
