Has anyone here sold in large volume or profit on eBay? I'd love some tips, recently I've gained some interest in this marvelous auction house extravaganza!

I have sold things for thousands of dollars on ebay. you need to be very careful. get paypal and use it with your credit card only don't let it draw from your bank. that way if you buy something that is misrepresented than you can dispute the charge with your credit card..much better than through paypal.

if it is too good to be true...leave it alone

do NOT ever give out your password or info...you will get some very convincing emails from scammers

get detailed pictures

feedback is very valuable...check it closely

I think great deals are few and far between on ebay everyone is there and most people know what they have and what it is worth.

good luck! it is fun to see what you can have.

I've been selling on Ebay for years. It's a lot of fun, but do watch out for scammers. Ebay does have a pretty good program in place to help you get your money back if you were cheated. As as seller, I find most people are honest and make good on their bids. There are always a few deadbeat bidders. Its just part of the game. Paypal is a wonderful way to collect or send money. The fees are minimal for sellers and free for buyers.

I've been selling books and collectibles, but am about to embark on a more serious project with Ebay and make some serious money. Lots of people make their living doing that now - you can too!!

Also, there are lots of forums within Ebay that hold an enormous amount of information. Its worth your time to pop in there and do some reading to gain some insight.

Good luck! :sombrero:
