Tee hee. 'Tis. I'm foolish for them. This one was filmed in 1969 - Michael Caine, Lawrence Olivier...great aerial battles. :D

I Owe It All To John D'Oh
My favorite war movie is still The Great Escape.

That's Laurence Olivier.

He's my favorite actor ever.

His best role -- Othello. Check it out!!!

Also stars Maggie Smith and Derek Jacobi.

Fantastic movie. That's one of my favourites. You can teach *monkeys* to fly better than that!

Funny you should mention it, I was window shopping this afternoon and saw the special edition 2XDVD for $20. I think that's my next purchase. Today was Life of Brian, which should help the Sunday night blues.

Oh, shush, both of you with the spelling :P

Battle of Britain really is a great movie - especially for the time. The aerial scenes are pretty impressive!

I haven't seen The Great Escape in several years, Quirt. I'll have to pick that one up soon. But my next war movie purchase is Platoon. I've actually never seen it. I also want to pick up Gallipoli - it's one of my all time faves.

I watched parts of Band of Brothers, MP, but I think that was when Liam was REALLY wee so I didn't catch all of it and often got called away or fell asleep during. I've been thinking about picking it up on DVD just so I can watch the whole thing.

If you like Battle of Britain, you have to get A Bridge Too Far. Never mind all this American rubbish.

(To avoid hatemail, I've got the Band of Brothers special edition box set - best thing I own that doesn't contain explicit sex scenes)
