I having pancakes, drowning in syrup and butter, crisp bacon, cheesy scambled eggs, and buttered toast with milk, chocolate milk, and orange juice. It's my only breakfast of the week that isn't swallowed on the run.
What about you guys?
We're all mad here!

I never have a big appetite in the morning anymore (though I used to love big pancake breakfasts).

I usually just sit down with coffee, grapefruit juice, cereal and raspberries.

I'm actually trying to decide on my brekkie right now. I have two choices: Pancakes or a mushroom omelette. I can't choose.

Carbs:

Oatmeal (Whole Oat - Slow cooking)

Mix in 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and some fruit. Usually pineapple or mixed fruit.

Protein and Fat:

4 egg whites with 1.5 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil mixed together and nuked for 90 seconds.

or

Vanilla Whey Protein powder and 1.5 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil mixed into the oatmeal before adding the fruit.

Part of my healthy, cholesterol lowering program.

I eat this almost every day for breakfast.

Yesterday however, I had a ham and swiss cheese omelet.

I ended up having a fried egg and cheese sandwich (though, pathetically, my egg was fried in low-fat cooking spray, I used a "light" Kraft single, and weight watchers bread. :P Totally Weight Watchers Points value for said breakfast: 4  )

I'm going to use my 'shrooms tonight for dinner. I've decided to take some chicken, brown it, then add sliced cremini and portabello mushrooms, onions, garlic, chicken broth, and white wine and let it reduce and serve it with rice. I don't know if it'll be good, but it seems like it should work.

Oh man. This morning i couldn't even think about food. :puke:

I was out at family's house last night and proceeded to drink six VERY large glasses of red wine. I made it through to about 1 am and then puked 6 times, only two of which i can actually remember, but i have it on good faith from my sister that it was infact 6 times that she had to drag me off the bathroom floor and put me back to bed. :P

I'm feeling too rough to even think about eating.

Let me be the first to sound like an old fart. The advice is good however.....

At 16, drinking the way you say you do is not good. In another ten years you're going to be an alcoholic if you keep it up. Your skin will look like you're 50, your eyes will look blank, healthwise you *will* be 50, if you're lucky. You won't be able to maintain a decent relationship, and most of your friends will have abandoned you. You'll be left to a choose between dying early, or fighting an addiction the rest of your life. If I didn't like you, I wouldn't mention it.

We had 20 for breakfast this morning. I made a big batch of sausage gravy and a pot full of chocolate gravy (if you don't know, you're definitely a Yankee :P ) and about 150 biscuits. Had big platters of berries, grapes and kiwi)

It's GONE. All of it! Garsh...I guess it was good!

I think British culture differs somewhat from the US regarding booze, and what can appear like the beginnings of a problem, can often be quite normal in the UK.

Of course, that may just indicate we're a bunch of winos. When I was 15-16 I behaved much like MP describes, but I've got it under control now, honest, I don't need a drink at all.....

(just kidding, I'm a pretty moderate drinker now).
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

it all depends on if i get up early enough to make it to the dining hall for brunch or not. when there, i usually have a big plate of fruit. if i'm feeling especially daring, i'll have some of the dhall meat products, but only on rare occasions. at this point in my life, i avoid big breakfasts only because dhall food is usually not very good. i can't wait to get an apartment this summer so i can cook my own food
And how are you today?

well said! having grown up in both cultures, i can say that they differ GREATLY when it comes to booze. in the UK people are more open about drinking (in a good way) and i think it helps us kids realize our limits. i am thankful that i grew up there and was able to drink wine at 14 (with a meal+parents there) and that my parents let me have some drinks sometimes. i learned my limit the hard way, but i did it at about 16, and haven't gone past it since! now, being a ripe old 19 (20 in 12 days  ) i can outdrink many of my male friends, but i chose not to because i am aware of the dangers of alcohol, and find myself to be very responsible about it compared to other university students....
And how are you today?

Completely LW.

I only ever drink at home or at the the home of aunty/uncles etc...

I would never go out drinking to Newcastle at night. The dangers are far far too great. Plus, it isn't something i have any interest in doing I would rather be at home enjoying myself where i know i will be safe.

hmmm....yes. i have heard stories about Newcastle. I have 4 or 5 friends at uni there who report their escapades to me, and those of others. sounds like a fun but (at times) dodgy place to go on pub crawls and the like

Yeah, it's not a nice place to be at night if you aren't into the partying/drinking scene. The Quayside is very beautiful, however, and alot more cultured. I would always recommend the Quayside for nights out (there are some really lovely restaurants and wine bars) rather than the city centre (which can be very scary if you don't know the area very well).
