I don't know if anyone else has been following this trial. Screw freedom of speech, this guy's going down. Sorry, I don't sound very liberal, but anyway....

Well he's definitely guilty of the charges brought against him...the question is should those charges by legal?

Hard question to answer...freedom of speech and all. Of course if it leads to involuntary manslaughter (or whatever charge would be for encouraging the killing of a specific person), I could see that...

John,

You politically insensitive b*stard!

Who the hell are you to criticize this man's feelings? After all, arent they as valid as anyone else's?

Under British law I don't believe that there's not much question regarding his guilt. One of the laws, going back to 1861, isn't exactly a knee-jerk reaction to the modern situation. This isn't freedom of speech, this is incitement to murder.

Sadly, some would say, Mr. Albert Pierrepoint is no longer an employee of Her Majesty's Government. Speaking personally, that's one unemployment statistic I'm pleased to see. Of course, if the lovely Mr. Hamsa gets to spend some time with the other fine gentlement residing in Wormwood Scrubbs, he may wish they'd hanged him.

Say what you like about the English, we have developed our sophistication and subtle wit to a razor's edge. Very few have any idea what we're going on about most of the time.

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

Ah, I see you are a devotee of the traditional English 'beat' combo referenced in the link given below.

And you can shizzle mine as well, old chap. Tally ho!
