HOLY CARP!!!

I'm not really much of a pork fan, but they had pork tenderloin on sale, so I picked up a couple 12 oz ones and made tenderloin with an apricot glaze. Oh. My. Gawd. So tasty. Yumm. |

I have had an aversion to apricot glaze since my mom burnt some tenderloin (or some such meat) with apricot glaze. Never liked it since. Yuck. |

I made a big ol' bone in prime rib roast tonight to celebrate the Bengals vanquishing the Steelers. It was sweet, in every way. |

Oh no burning here. Tender and juicy and delicious. Yumm! And the glaze was apricot and full-grain dijon, so it had some spice to it. Yum yum yum. I will definitely make that again! |

LD, I think cooking is but one of the things you'll be doing for/by yourself this football season.

Hey, take it to the football thread. This isn't appropriate discussion for Dol's thread about how much she loves Tender Loins. |

Sorry about that Dol. Now, how else, besides with apricot marinade, do you like Tender Loins? |

Pork tenderloin is great, and leaner than chicken, I think! |

Mmmmm........Hog Fat! (a tip of the hat to Homer). Lombo de Porco was my favorite cut of meat in the Brazilian churascareas. Simply roasted on the vertical spit, sliced off, and served with a molho made of diced tomatos and onions. The apricot glaze does sound good. What was the rest of the menu, Dol? And thinking of the wine thread you started, what did you drink with the loin? I missed most of the Bengals-Steelers game. I was out in the snow working on a broken car, but when I heard the final score, the game would have been just about the same amount of fun as I'd been having. Come on, playoffs :ph43r: Big Al |

Alright, the rest of the menu was pretty dull (give me credit - I made a pork tenderloin for one! I wasn't going crazy with everything else!) Basmati rice and steamed broccoli. No wine, though - I had a bit too much last night.
