Work Travel Company

The second one looks fantastic, although I have only found one place it mentions the price on, and it doesn't seem to be repeated anywhere or have any in/exclusions. I've ordered a brochure though so hopefully that will be more specific. The first one looks a lot like hard work, which is what I wanted, but I wanted more to see the place and the people, and WTC seems to incorporate a lot of that.

Still looking!

Good sites, Sarah!

Keep posting your search results- I'm also looking for some kind of volunteer program that I could do over my spring break :)

Well, I'm not really sure as of yet! I did a trip to Texas/Mexico a couple times in college (helping build low-income houses, and spending time at an orphanage), but that program was just for students. I guess I'd like to do something similar. Since it would only be for about a week, I don't think anything like teaching would be an option.

I'm interested in any Latin American countries, so that I can get a chance to hone my Spanish skills. I'd love to be able to do something with the company I have a sponsor child through- World Vision- but I don't think they offer opportunities like what I'm looking for.

When/for how long are you looking to go?

A good few weeks I think, no less than 3 weeks. I probably won't be ready till about May onwards , which is the most uncomfortable time for India. (Hmm, I went to Thailand in May as well, and that was pretty hot. Maybe I should rearrange my travel times! No, I like hot actually.

I'd also like to go to South America, to practise my Spanish, but I haven't really looked into that yet.

Well, I think the last time I posted these links was before you joined this little band of misfits, but just for the record:

Dwain, that looks EXACTLY like what I had in mind.
I'll definitely have to look into that more closely.

And, er, read more of that story about "Dwain's Naked Adventure" and the "explosive intestinal problems."

This looks great, Sarah! What a great site, thank your for letting us know about it!

Optimistic, look at the bottom right of the site, there's a 'gap for grown-ups' link, with some really wonderful looking opportunities.
