HOLY CARP!!!

Lots of Christians are angry at the Jews for killing Jesus. Actually, it was the Romans who killed Jesus, but that's beside the point. If Jesus had not been killed, then there would be no Christianity (as we know it). Jesus wouldn't have been a martyr for the people's sins, he wouldn't have resurected, etc. So why would these people be so angry? Shouldn't they be happy that the Romans killed Jesus? |

Happy probably isn't the word. Regretful that his atoning death was a necessary part of the equation to begin with, probably comes closer. But your point that Christ's physical death was a necessary component of his redemptive act is exactly why no Christian should be angry at Jews, or Romans, for Christ's death - at least, that is, no more angry than they might be at themselves, because their own sinfulness is no less to blame for the necessity of his death than are the sins of the ancient Jews and Romans. Any Christian who resents Jews or Romans as "Christ-killers" has really, really missed the point. |

It's all part of "THE PLAN." If some people hate some other people for having carried out "THE PLAN," that is part of "THE PLAN" too.

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead

We don' need no steenkin' plan. It is very difficult for me to assign the fact that this person hates the Jews for their part in crucifying Jesus and this person does not as part of some plan. I don't get down to that level in the plans I make.. somehow I doubt God does. Got a universe to run, y'know. |
