Between this and his call for civil war, it's truly wonderful to see how Larry gets into the spirit of the holidays. |

I've got no chance with my boating wish, I'm afraid. THe Christmas just before my first wife left me I also suggested going out and picking up a couple of oars for the festive season. It's amazing how quickly tinsel can be turned into a noose. |

Are you old enough to remember Tom Lehrer's song, "National Brotherhood Week?" Oh, the white folks hate the black folks And the black folks hate the white folks To hate all but the right folks Is an old established rule But during National Brotherhood Week National Brotherhood Week Lena Horne and Sheriff Clark Are dancing cheek to cheek It's fun to eulogize The people you despise As long as you don't let 'em in your school Oh, the poor folks hate the rich folks And the rich folks hate the poor folks All of my folks hate all of your folks It's American as apple pie But during National Brotherhood Week National Brotherhood Week New Yorkers love the Puerto Ricans 'Cause it's very chic Step up and shake the hand Of someone you can't stand You can tolerate him if you try Oh, the Protestants hate the Catholics And the Catholics hate the Protestants And the Hindus hate the Moslems And everybody hates the Jews But during National Brotherhood Week National Brotherhood Week It's National Everyone-Smile-At- One-Another-hood Week Be nice to people who Are inferior to you It's only for a week, so have no fear Be grateful that it doesn't last all year! |

Blow it out your ass, sQuirt. You want to play semantics with scripture? Okee dokee: "- In the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy them--the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites--as the LORD your God has commanded you. Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshipping their gods, and you will sin against the LORD your God. (Deut.20:16-18). - When the LORD your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally (according to the law of anathema). Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. (Deut.7:2-5, 2:34, Num.25:1-5, 31:14-17, Ex.23:33, Joshua 6:17, 8:26)." I have precedents to stand on. There have been many times that God commanded people to kill the godless, foolish, reprobates amongst us. You can't run around promoting stupidity and then ask for mercy by using scripture. |

Ah, the refuge of the truly pious Christian. Quote the Old Testament. I seem to recall Jolly saying he was a New Testament sort of fellow. I guess that doesn't apply to you, huh? You're willing to go with everything the Old Testament says? And shall we assume that you are unable to provide quotes from Jesus justifying your desire "to see all the god hating, antiAmerican nutbobs that infect society bound and gagged and dropped to the bottom of the ocean" or your wish for "a ray gun in outer space that I could push a button and make all the Leftists in the world turn into ozone"? As I said, cockroach, you're a truly sanctified man. |

Just addressing your methods, hypocrite. You have no qualms about being nasty when it suits your purpose, but you use scripture to hide behind it. You're being just as judgmental as I am sQuirt. It's just that I'm not trying to manipulate religion to do it. I wonder what the Bible has to say about a man that would piously quote scripture in one breath, and call someone a cockroach in the next breath........ A hypocrite, maybe? Charlatan comes to mind...... practice what you preach ambulance chaser, or shut up. |

Well **** for brains, the way I see it getting rid of the antiAmerican antiGod nutbob Left would fix 99% of the problems America suffers from. If you consider yourself an antiAmerican antiGod nutbob, then you go right ahead and feel offended. I could care less. It's time to offend that bunch. If on the other hand you *don't* consider yourself an antiAmerican antiGod nutbob, then shut up. |

Ah yes, telling people to shut up over the internet. Not only the epitome of persuasive and cogent reasoning, but also likely to be highly effective. In the history of the internet, I'm sure that everyone who has been told to shut up has immediately done so. Still waiting for your quotes from Jesus about how the genocide that you have proposed, on more than one occasion, befits Christian theology. Old Testament quotes won't cut it. |

The most obvious is from "render unto Caesar" -- the political sphere is not a theological consideration, as Christ made abundantly clear in his defense to Pilate. It is primarily because the Christian Church has weathered 2000 years of empires rising and falling that there is a body of political theory about how society ought be governed and the rights and responsibilities of goverments ought be applied to promote and protect the common good. But these are not predicated on theology or revelation, but on Natural Law and right reason. It's simply not theological question, Quirt. It is a moral question that concerns the political order. It falls under the categories of prudence and justice. |
