a suggestion.

since the "what r u listening to now" thread is arguably the most consistent and returned to thread on the forum, maybe jgoo can "pin" it up permanently, like under the important topics list, and then whenever u listen to something cool, u can post it, instead of waiting for the next "what r u listening to now" thread to come around...

Yup. I second this Bach.
A darn good idea.
Stick it somewhere so we can find it please :)

[Is there ever going to be a search function on this board? Or did I miss the orientation session for this?]

You knew I was going to jump in with my typical iTunes schlock playlist! :D

Monster Hospital - Metric (this band has quickly become a new fave! Thier tune Combat Baby absolutely rocks!)
Dear Prudence - Siouxsie and the Banshees
Goodbye Blue Sky - Pink Floyd
This Charming Man - Death Cab for Cutie
(Don't Fear) The Reaper - Caesars (have I mentioned I have a thing for cover tunes?)
Mrs. Robinson - Simon and Garfunkel
Werewolves of London - Adam Sandler (see?)
Physical (You're so) - Nine Inch Nails (told you so!)
God Must Hate Me - Simple Plan
Burnin for You - Blue Oyster Cult
Ziggy Stardust - Bauhaus
[edit] Just added another cover to this particular list:
Hurt - Johnny Cash [/edit]

And, inexplicably (unless you know why I created this particular mix):

Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor

89th, don't be such a turd! A common love of music is what brought us here in the first place. I love seeing what everyone else is listening to :)

This always seems to surface as Thanksgiving approaches

The new song by Kerrie Underwood (American Idol winner earlier this year). Jesus take the will.

It's a pretty song.

This is great; having this thread pinned. so interesting seeing what we all listen to.

This is an old favourite that I hadn't listened to in quite a while.

The CD I have looks just like that one I posted, except it's got Grimaud's signature on the cover.

Now I'm listening to one of my favorite Beethoven Sonatas - the last one (#32).

(That and the Appassionata are my two favorites, closely followed by Waldstein)

ZOOOOOM!
Currently in my car is a very old "Work Crap" CD. Some notable songs include:

Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire
Me First & The Gimmie Gimmies - Uptown Girl (an awesome cover)
Allman Brothers - Jessica
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Parallel Universe
Louis Jordan - Beans and Cornbread (originally a work CD, this fit right in)
Buck O Nine - Jennifer's Cold
Tim Reynolds - Stream
Wagner - Flight of the Valkyries ('cause why not; whole thing isn't on there, though)

That's about half of what's on it.
I cite irreconcilable differences.
