HOLY CARP!!!
Just saw it tonight with a couple of my friends.

:thumb:

Wow. It's crazy how Anakin becomes Darth Vader (and how he even survives to be Darth Vader).

Nooooooooooo!

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

It's playing right now downstairs. I got up because I thought it was boring. Besides, it doesn't have a happy ending. Why the heck do I want to watch a movie like that?

I watched it last night. Julia loved it, but I thought it was almost cartoonish. The special effects were so "slick" they looked animated.

I like the very first one the best.

Ok, I cheated. I went back downstairs when the music got really dramatic. Just in time to see Anakin (SPOILER ALERT) get his legs cut off, and then get burned alive. Cool. Then I watched til the end. My favorites are the original 3. I've watched them a zillion times.

Obi Wan should have finished the job, and sliced up Anakin like sushi. Wuss.
It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't.

You have to be kidding, Larry. The Phantom Menace was your favorite? The plot line stunk, Anakin was a brat, the lines were even more cliche then in the Revenge of the Sith, and I could go on but I won't.
I thought that RotS was the best of the three new StarWars but still lacking in many areas. Cool special effects and lightsaber duels, but please. That dialoge? And what kind of a name is Count Dukoo? All the same, RotS is a pretty decent movie. It really connected I, II, and III with IV, V and VI. Actually I just watched for the first time three days ago.
We're all mad here!

Get his predicate out intact he could not.

I think Larry was referring to the chronologically first Star Wars which might be IV to you.

Not a bad film in general - compared to 4 5 and 6 (especially 5) it was pretty poop though.

yeah 5 is my fav too. I though rofs was pretty good, but every time I watch it I feel sooo depressed after, I don't know why. Phantom menace cheers me up though, it's more feel good, but the best is episode V. :thumb: all round good movie.

Yes, I was referring to the original Star Wars, the first one that came out. I can't keep track of the order they are supposed to be in as far as the storyline goes.

I enjoyed No. 3, particularly at the movies, where the special effects come across so much better.

I did find it annoying that one of the all time great movie villains was just shown to be nothing more than an intensely irritating teenager.

Palpatine stole the movie. I heard a rumor that he was based on Nixon. :cloak:

But he was "the chosen one" - he had to hang around to bring an end to the sith in episode .... VI? when he kills the emperor and dies.

(I thought the extra features were great! It was amazing how much goes into the whole process, from story to screen...)

He didn't reveal anything! You already know how it ends before you watch it. Because it is a prelude.

I watched this with a couple of my friends Friday night. The one was trying so hard to punch in a code that would supposedly unlock some "secret feature" on the DVD that would show a video of Yoda dancing and singing hip hop music. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
