I am so adjective that I verb nouns!
I've seen the video Rules of Engagement -- it might also be a one-sided presentation, but it is very informative.

The infrared aerial photography is particularly interesting showing who was firing on whom, and was used to contradict the Fed's official accounts.

Evidently, almost immediately after the siege, the Feds came and bulldozed the site -- not following standard protocols for forensic processing of a crime scene. Some key evidence, such as the front doors of the main building with bullets, went "missing".

Interesting also is that the survivors of the massacre were awarded compensation by the Government and exonerated of all charges. Even the Government concluded that they were not guilty.

Seems to have been a big time snafu and attempted cover up.

The dogma lives loudly within me.

Overall I agree with Jolly's earlier statement that with patience and planning the authorities probably could have averted the situation by detaining Koresh during one of his forays into town. Depriving his followers of their so-called Messiah likely would have had a demoralizing effect on the hive and the situation could be diffused bloodlessly. It is regretable that children became the primary collateral damage of one side's folly and the other's fanaticism.

Nevertheless the facts remain that an eccentric but professed pacifist sect of Seventh Day Adventists were armed and holed up in a fortress. As well, the group had identified the US government as its enemy. In so doing it ceased to function as a legitimate religious organization protected under the Constitution and became instead an armed political movement with an apparent intent to operate outside of the laws of the USA. In short, an armed insurgency group.
