ZOOOOOM!
So now no more sore throat, but my nose is leaking like a busted faucet.

I'm going to tell you right now, DON'T buy "Sudafed PE Nasal Decongestant". Or, if you find sugar pills to be effective, by all means go right ahead!

This sucks.

Your nose is decongesting. Truth in advertising. Get a straight antihistamine if you want to dry that nose up.

Apparently not (about the being for children, that is). Says here, "ask a doctor for children under 12 years of age".

Also says they're 10 mg tablets.

...now, if it says 10 mg only, why the CARP do they claim it's maximum strength???

you're right. I just checked online and it says does not contain psuedophed.. it has Phenyleprine - you can't buy psuedafed (who knows how you spell it in US unless you have a pharmacist unlock it for you ) cause of all the crack makers

Oh for cryin' out....

I'm not a crack addict, I have a nasal congestion problem!!!

I think I'm going to save all the liquid snot coming out of my nose for the next day or so, put it into a plastic bag, and mail it to Sudafed. Attached will be a note, saying:

"Dear Sudafed,

This is what you were supposed to take care of. Obviously, you didn't. Thanks for nothing."

If you breathe through your nose (force it) your nose will *not* block. I was told this once and didn't believe it but it's true in my experience. It's also true that at any one time you breathe through only one nostril at its maximum rate. One nostril is always more "closed" than the other and there's no explanation for this as far as I know. If you breathe through your mouth, your nose will produce more mucus and whether you're ill or not, you should always breathe through your nose as far as possible because doing so allows your body to manage your oxygen/CO2 level more effectively according to "various sources".

Oxygen? CO2? The?

There is goes, the "chemistry bell" goes off in my head! I had to look it up myself. You're right, phykell!

The respiratory system of carbon dioxide and oxygen exchange occurs in the alveoli of the lungs. When there is proper oxygen-carbon dioxide exchange, the blood will maintain a balanced pH. If carbon dioxide is lost too quickly, as in mouth breathing, oxygen absorption is decreased. There is a negative pressure built in the lungs, thereby decreasing the blood absorption of oxygen.
