Since Charles and Camilla are honouring the U.S. with their presence: Prince Charles was driving home from an evening out, and he was driving up the long winding road towards Balmoral Castle. It was dark, and he was late, and what with one thing and another he just didn't see the small shape that jumped out at his shiny Jaguar as he sped along. There was a sickening thud, a squeal, and then silence. Charles got out of the car to find the mortal remains of his mother's favourite Corgi, Trixibelle. 'Oh no, Mummy's having such a terrible year, what with all the scandal, and having to pay taxes, and now this!' he sobbed. He sat down disconsolately, and began to weep, in a royal, kingly way. After a while, he noticed a small lamp by the side of the road - not recognizing the crest that was on the lid, he picked it up, gave it a bit of a rub, and 'KERBLAM!' a genie appeared! 'Master, what is your wish? I can grant you your greatest desire' Well, Charles thought, I don't need money, but 'Well, genie, as you can see, I've just run over mummy's favourite little dog, could you bring it back to life?' The genie examined the remains. 'I'm sorry, master, but this task is beyond even my powers. It's liver is across the road in the woods, it's legs are missing, and it's heart is damaged beyond repair'. Charles had a bit of a think - 'Well, genie, you see this picture' he opened his wallet 'This is my ex-wife, sadly we didn't get on, but as you can see, she's quite the looker. Now, this' he produced another picture 'is the love of my life, Camilla. We get on very well, but...' he tailed off. 'I was wondering, could you make the one I love look, well, a little bit more like the first one?'. The genie studied the two pictures carefully, singing softly to himself. After a while he said 'Let's have another look at that Corgi....' |

"Any man who would make an X rated movie should be forced to take his daughter to see it". - John Wayne There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it". Henry II: I marvel at you after all these years. Still like a democratic drawbridge: going down for everybody. Eleanor: At my age there's not much traffic anymore. From The Lion in Winter.

It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't. - P.G. Wodehouse
