HOLY CARP!!!

You're missing the point, which is actually the exact opposite of your comment. We haven't had enough of you, you've had enough of us. Too much, in fact. You need some direct, confidential, face-to-face communication and counseling regarding whatever the underlying issues really are. We've become a crutch to you to avoid getting real help, by getting little bits of "armchair counseling" from us here - self included - that made you think that you could do without the real, personal, face-to-face counseling. We're only too willing to offer you bits & pieces of our own experiences and advice, partly because we want to help you, and partly (whether we'll admit it to ourselves or not) because we get an ego boost, thinking we're doing such a noble thing in offering you - really, a total stranger - important life advice. If we care about you, we'll stop giving you that easy and ineffective way out. Not because we don't care; because we do. |
