I love you too, MP!

As for the rest of you... I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't.

From LOTR; Bilbo Baggins's farewell speech.

And it works out to a compliment, mostly.

Nice reference, KC. You're so cool.

Dork.

MP - you're a sweetheart

Oh, sure - I turn to do something, it takes me a second to answer the thread and you're telling people where the quote is from. Sheesh.

Of course, I knew that already. Shocked, I'm sure.

Oh yeah.

I've been trying to sharpen up my minimalist prose, so until now have been avoiding the use of smileys.

But... have at you, Princess!!!

Ha. When I read KC's comment (explaining his quote), I thought that was you, Dol!

I didn't actually look at the avatar to see that it was really KC until you threw your arms up.

Only an insufferable dork (not a kind and gentle dork like me) would keep the source to himself, Dol!

Of course, I knew YOU would know the source. You probably know the exact page it's on in your well-thumbed copy and what comes before and after, don't you, Dork-girl?

I thought so.

Silly. Not the same thing at all!

If you only knew of the agonies and torments of the sleepless nights I've suffered for you... dreaming of you as Princess Leia and me as Jabba the Hutt (so I'm weird. Like you didn't know that already!)...

KC, I can honestly say that you've already won me over. You could look like Jabba and I don't think it would make a lick of difference.

I would, however, ask that you use utensils to eat those slug things.

Actually, I don't look like Jabba. He's much too gaunt and undernourished. And he looks like he could still bathe himself without using a rag on a stick, like I do.

"LICK of difference" Hee hee!

Of course I use utensils. The mucus on the slugs makes it very difficult to use my fingers. Fortunately, chewing is not necessary... they just sort of slide right down.
