good topic starting hillary. That is a fascinating want... my wants are simple, a piano, good children, enough food for a while.. a little time here and there... the admiration of geniuses. Topic starting! Now that's a topic!

LOL, that's funny, sounds like my boss, a woman 20 years older than me (old enough to be my mother almost). I wonder if this is a common want among women; the admiration of geniuses? What for anyway? I really am what that thing about trees says about me, I don't want to impress, and I really have always felt uncomfortable when people gush me with compliments. I'd rather it be done softly, very quietly too, subtle is enormously wonderful. Good one Hillary, a thread about nothing. It could go anywhere. Let's see where it goes, like why people want admiration from others, what kinds and what they expect to do with it once they get it. How about, ahhhhhhh, that was so nice, thank you. I'm no genius really, just a another poor damn fool spinning on a planet. (Currently listening to a rare Italian CD, Live in Villa S. Lorenzo, featuring cellist, alberto bocini and pianist daniel del pino featuring music of Beethoven, Schumann, Schubert and Chopin) |

A wise decision, Frank! One never knows when family members may take it upon themselves to log on and see what Ma, Bro', Hubster has been up to... (Yes, my message was in response to yours )

Very perceptive, Amanda. As usual. Fortunately I deleted it before anyone copied it to their post for some unfathomable reason. The truth is nobody I know knows i post online like this. They wouldn't expect me to be doing something like this. Neither would I. Who'd a thunk it? |
