Very minor spoilers. Why didn't Voldemort use a horcrux to come back in GoF?? I mean, he had Nagini with him but didn't use him (her? it?). |

I don't think he needs to use them for coming back, I think they just need to exist. Besides, one school of thought is that he did.

Ah. See, I was presuming he had to put the bit of soul back in himself to come back. So the bit of magic he did after the Triwizard Tourney was to get his physical being back, then. Got it. |

His little 1/64th of a soul he had remaining wasn't destroyed. I don't think a soul can be destroyed, just the shell they are in, be it a horcrux or the body. |

Maybe you're right, LD; but I think that when the body or the shell containing the Horcruxes is destroyed, the soul is certainly lost, if not destroyed. |
