Kenny what is that plaque on the wall behind your shoulder?

This one?

Posted Image

It is one of a pair of 3-inch plaques I picked up in San Diego.

Here's the other:

Yah, those are cool. Is there a history behind them (sorry didn't mean to hijack your own thread!)

HOLY CARP!!!
I don't know the history of the characters they protray.
Perhaps someone here will recognize them and clue us in.

They do have some personal history with me though.
I was just coming out of a 13-year relationship.
I had just gotten my own apaprtment and I think these were the first things I bought.

It was a time of great upheavel and personal reflection.
I think of them as representing the two of the opposites in every person as described by Carl Jung, the anima and the animus.

Here is no particular link about them.
http://www.cnr.edu/home/bmcmanus/anima.html

I was paying attention to honoring my anima and animus, and I wanted these symbols to inhabit my home as a reminder.

I am so adjective that I verb nouns!
My guess it the top one is Sulis Minerva and the lower one is Bacchus, or maybe a Green Man. They probably respectively represent the higher faculties of humanity (intelligence, rationality) and the lower passions and appetites. The Jungians took these elemental components and merchandised them.

Really bad.
