Very interesting article [edit]Jolly.

I think what I found most intriguing was the use of the computer game title "Liesure Suit Larry" ... an infamous computer game.

I think maybe an electrical shock as a young child is what set me on the path to becoming an electrical engineer. I wonder if there's more somewhere on the subject of lightning survivors.

I'm fairly well acquainted with the physical effects of electrical shock because they enter into design standards for things like substation grounding and ground fault protection devices. I've never read about what lightning can do to a survivor.

As mentioned, the Orlando area is the thunderstorm capital of the US with over 100 thunderstorm days/year. Florida and the Gulf coast as far west as the middle of Louisiana exceed 70. The other area exceeding 70 is stretches from northern New Mexico up through central Colorado in a generally north-south direction.
