Some Hack "Plays" Bach; ... two horrible nervous recordings

HOLY CARP!!!
KB, dude, those are some rather respectable performances. Good job! :thumb: :thumb:

Prelude #1 is good. Sensitive, and well-polished with good tonal control.

Prelude #2 and #21 are good too, though stylistically, I'd keep stricter time and not play as fast. There seems to be a tendency to "bunch up" the notes when you execute runs, which makes the thumb-under turns obvious and break the beat. This happens even to professionally trained pianists. These things show up more obviously where you play something like Bach that doesn't allow for much pedaling to smooth things out for you. Usually it's because they just let the run slide over and not really pay attention. Not a big deal and not hard to fix -- usual remedy is to just pay attention and make sure that each finger articulates cleanly, plus may be a few lapse of slow practice with deliberate, even counting. ;)

Oh... and for that JavaScript that opens a window and plays the music automatically...

Buy a copy of the Piano World CD. There is a full-blown working example of such a script in the Data/MP3 disc. It's much easier to start with a script that works and then customize if for your own use.

One more thing... which piano did you use to make those recordings?
Just curious. :)

Very nice! I quite enjoyed that! (And this is coming from a guy who's been fed nothing but Richter and Gould as far as the WTC goes!) Ax has good advice for 2 and 21 - put it to good use and you've got a few solid pieces under your belt!

Thanks for sharing!
