Nope; it wouldn't be polite on my part. I try to respect their space and for the most part, they respect mine. If I read something there which I feel is important I'll import it here or Fat Shirley's with a commentary.

Didn't even know another website existed that had more than a few members...why don't you all come over here?!

I love the setup soooo much more than PW.

I went over there briefly. I took one look at John Andrew's avatar and figured it probably wasn't the place for me.

Jack,

I think you should tell all the WTF folks to come here... I've just set up a challenge where I offer $5 to the first person who could turn 89th into a homosexual, and $10 to the first person who could turn Jolly into a homosexual. Do you think perhaps some of the WTF folks would enjoy this challenge, and might actually have what it takes to pull it off? ;)

I think some of the folks over there need to stay over there. It isn't a forum that's open to differing opinions. I've written 3 posts there, and have had one edited and one deleted, and in neither case did I say a thing wrong. God help me if I actually expressed an opinion.

I engaged in a little plain talk over there today regarding our efforts in the Middle East.. just reminded me why I don't do that anymore. I engage in plain, straight talk and opinions and am met with rhetoric and obfuscation.. no real position on what ought to be done..just not what WE did.

Heck.. in the 2004 Presidential race even their spiritual leader Senator Kerry's main message was 'yeah.. I'd do what W did.. but I'D DO IT BETTER THAN HE DID!!!'

I'm not sure who are considered regulars over there, but I would have to agree with that statement, somewhat.

I just see more intelligence and wit on this side of the fence. What else could you ask for!?

I also enjoy the pace over here and the regular members. Granted I've been increasing that pace lately, but just because I've had some time off. :leaving:

The WTF members are certainly intelligent.

I just don't feel all that welcome there, despite the constant "everyone's welcome here".

Perhaps they are, but I was just assuming that it would be hard to reach the level of this place. Not including my dumbass of course. ;)

What's worse is that they sing all those tunes to the melody of O Canada but either don't know it or can't tell the difference.

Nice try, Jack. You obviously shouldn't have bothered.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

Phlebas, I think Jack was right-on in "bothering" to tell us that.

Jack is showing (as he always has) that he's someone who can respect, and get along with lots of different types of people.

My words are not to stir up any sort of sentiment against WTF (you'll notice I'm not one who badmouths the WTF), but to honestly communicate how I feel about posting there: unwelcome.

For what it's worth, with 59 posts there I feel that I've spent enough time there to know where I stand with people...
